Welcome to SENIA Singapore!

Vision & Mission

Vision – SENIA Champions inclusion by empowering our global community to connect, learn and advocate for one another

Mission – To live in an inclusive world

We champion our vision and mission with our Big Five

  • Create Awareness of neurodiversity, disability, and the value of inclusion
  • Provide Learning Opportunities for professionals and families
  • Create a Global Network of relationships and resources
  • Advocate to create inclusive education worldwide
  • Build a Viable and Sustainable Organization that supports individuals and communities long-term

SENIA was started by a group of international schoolteachers in China in 2002. The goal was to create a support network for teachers and other professionals working with children with special educational needs in Asia. Over the years we have grown to include other regions of the world.

More and more families that have children who are differently-abled move overseas–and we are excited to see many students getting the support that was previously not available. Our network has expanded to include international schoolteachers, educational psychologists, parents and other specialists, administrators, support assistants, community organizations, and other professionals in the field.

Since the early beginnings, our heart has always been advocating for children with special needs. We are excited about the future and thank you for joining us!

SENIA local chapters and teacher representatives are pillars of the SENIA movement and provide local support and advocacy in regions around the globe.
