Hello! My name is Dalia Umanskiy. I have been working as a speech language pathologist with children for more than fifteen years. While many people think that speech therapists help chidren develop better speech (which is very true), we have so much more on our plate! My goal is to help students with their speech, language, reading, writing, and thinking skills, especially when it relates to the learning process. This is what I have been doing throughout my career while working in clinics, schools, and rehabilitation centers. Currently, I am a part of Hong Kong International School where I work as an R2 speech, language, and learning specialist.

I graduated from Adelphi University in New York State with a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology and also became certified as a teacher for students with speech and language disabilities. A few years after I enrolled in Bilingual Extension Institute at Columbia University in New York City where I received a certification in assessment and treatment of children who speak multiple languages. Since then I have been deeply interested in working with students and families from various cultural backgrounds.

I was raised in Kaliningrad, Russia, where I graduated from Kaliningrad State University with a Master’s degree in linguistics. Being a bilingual individual myself and seeing my children grow up as third culture kids feeds my passion for working with multicultural and multilingual families.

My name is Millie McClelland and I am a paediatric physiotherapist. I have been living and working in Hong Kong since 2019 and am passionate about early intervention therapy for infants and giving children the best opportunity to reach their full potential. Currently I work at SPOT Children’s Therapy Centre and The Child Development Centre (CDC).

I completed my Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra in Australia and after graduation I commenced work at The Canberra Hospital working in paediatrics and neonatology. I gained experience working in the neonatal intensive care unit and special care nursery providing developmental input for premature babies and babies born with congenital and acquired disability. Since then I have completed my Master of Advanced Paediatric Physiotherapy Practice to specialise in the field.
