Tanya Farrol is a founding member of SENIA and has been part of the organization since 2002. She has hosted SENIA conferences in Beijing where she lived for over 18 years. Since 2009, she has been on the SENIA Board as the awards coordinator and SENIA-Beijing Board as the external expertise list coordinator and organizing local conferences.
Tanya received a Masters in Special Education while teaching overseas in England. As a special educator with 23+ years of experience in international schools, she has promoted inclusion and raised awareness of special education issues in the communities she has lived in – Haiti, Egypt, England and China.
Currently, she is taking a gap year to continue her professional learning as well as spending quality time with her family. She hopes to return to working overseas as she enjoys travelling with her family.
